this might go along with ICE, but i wasnt sure.. anyhoo, when my friend in the passenger seat has a cell phone, and someone calls him, my speakers start makin this weird buzzing noise. kind of like when you hold a cordless phone near a speaker phone, but deeper tone.. this never happened til today.

Well I have a thought but I'm not sure if this is right. The antenna that is on our cars as you probably know is in the rear window. It looks better but for that you have to sacrifice the reception. Anyhow, My guess is the cell was interfearing with the radio reception. Does it do it with CDs or just with the radio?

i dont listen to the radio much. so when it has happened, its with CD's. and i turn down the volume all the way down

That's just a side effect cell phones have on speakers. Turn your computer speakers up, make a call on your cell phone and then hold it near your speakers.

It sounds kinda cool when I get a call on my cell phone when it's near my electric guitar. Distorted interferance!

be careful in time the mag's in your speakers can blow the phone or vice versa leaving you with bills to pay, same concept when speakers are too close to a tv-can leave marks in the tube

Yep in my car I can hear the noise in my speakers before the phone rings LOL [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG] So I dunno sucks but I try not to talk on the phone in my car.
