2003 civic si ep3 a/c condenser fan question
hi guys i have a little problem and was looking for a little input ,i just got this car in april and the a/c blew cool kinda now its 104 outside and the air blows hot so i did an evac and recharge at my local shop drove it and it was blowing cold got home sat in my drive way for 5 min it got hot again brought it back to the shop now the a/c condenser fan isnt working (think it wasnt working when i bought the car) they checked relays tried jumping it to the battery no luck so i know its the fan .they told me they can get the fan and install it for $250 ($130-fan $120 labor) i was like NO THANKS i will order it and do it myself so i found the fan motor for like $70 now my question is it worth it to change the motor or the whole fan assem. and how hard is it to change just the fan motor. i know kinda a noob question sorry

Re: 2003 civic si ep3 a/c condenser fan question
Honestly for the 50 dollar price difference I wouldn't mess with the motor only. Haven't had one of these specfic ones off, but the blades are usually a pain to get on and off the motor shaft. The likelyhood of screwing up the rest of it is pretty high......

Yeh think your right I might mess up the blades and still end up ordering a whole assembly I just found one for under $50 http://www.drivewire.com/vehicle/200...condenser-fan/
I did a search on dealer oem replacements the sell everything by itself and the dealer wants $150 for only the motor
