Abs light & p0740
Abs light & p0740
Hello everyone
I just purchased my first car 2001 civic dx but like any first car its got its issues. I ran a scan and got a p0740 code but my transmission shifts and operates perfectly fine, so what could cause this code to come?
Second the car gets a ABS light on the dash when going on high speeds (100-125 kph) and stays on UNTIL I turn it off the engine. once I turn it back on it doesn't come back until I hit same again speeds. I ran the scan while the light was on but got no code, anyone know what could be causing this?
Thank you and sorry if this was covered in another post, i couldnt find it

Re: Abs light & p0740
No clue about the p0740 code.
Most OBD 2 scanners can't read ABS codes. Although there is a manual way to read the ABS codes with a jumper. Search for it.
