Two Different Codes and Rough Start
Two Different Codes and Rough Start
The car seems to start and drive fine for about 5 minutes when cold, then doesn't want to start, then hiccups when driving when warm/hot.
2003 Civic EX with 130K is showing codes "P0138 O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2" and "P0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range Performance".
Should I go ahead and replace both of these sensors, or is one of these bad and simply causing the other to throw a code?
Which O2 sensor is this? Where is it located?
Thanks so much for your help. First Post!

Re: Two Different Codes and Rough Start
Most likely running rough from the 336 code moreso than the 138 code. That O2 sensor is the post-cat sensor, under your car.
The crank position sensor is located behind the lower timing belt cover and requires the removal of the crank pulley, which is torqued down to 181ft-lbs and kind of a pain to remove. You need a special tool to hold it still while you remove the (I believe) 19mm bolt

Re: Two Different Codes and Rough Start
Thanks for the info. I can handle the O2 sensor, but given the PITA for the crankshaft position sensor and the risk of something going horribly wrong, this issue is going to the stealer.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
