I'm not sure where to post this (new to the forums, just bought my car a few weeks ago), so if anyone can redirect me to where this could be more accurately placed, that would be awesome. I felt it was "Vehicle Issue" so I posted here!

First of all, thank you so much.
I was in a parking lot at target, and I was backing out, when a friend in the passenger seat screamed at me to stop. I ended up bending their bumper a bit (probably just a replacement), but I screwed up my back end pretty bad. I drive a 2001 Honda Civic, and the damage looks like I'll need a new bumper + body work and possibly a new trunk.

Any idea what the total cost in damages (for my car) will be? Any help is extremely appreciated. Insurance is not involved, so I'll be paying for this out of pocket. Thank you very much!

Looks like you'll need a trunk lid and bumper. You might be able to get the parts for around $500 used.

You'll need trunk hinges too. Try local craigslist as far as you're willing to drive and here for nationwide salvage listings: http://www.car-part.com/ Either piece is running $100-250.
