whats the difference between 6th and 7th generation manual transmissions

can anyone tell me how similar or different the 2001-2005 manual trans is from the 2000, or 6th generation trans?

i have a spare bad 2000 trans, and wanted to tear it down to study, if its close to the same as my 2001 civic manual trans. can anyone give me some input on how different they are? thanks

Are you saying that the sixth and seventh generation manual gearboxes are exactly the same, just the engine that's different? I want to convert my 2001 auto to a manual gearbox, but I don't know which gearbox to buy.
