Knocking Sound when shifting

Hey guys I have a 05 canadian Si sedan now for a while I have been getting a knocking noise coming from the car when shifting from 1st to 2nd and 3rd if the rpm's are high enough.

Now when I shift from first 1st to 2nd the car kinda bounces or chokes idk how to describe it, Lets just say its not a smooth transition. Now I doubt its the engine mounts (Still a posibility) but I was wondering if anyone has had this issue in the past and what they did to fix it before I start ripping out the whole suspension etc.

Note: The car is still running on stock suspension Last november I had a mainly right side front impact accident which resulted in a strut mount replacement and a few months before that I changed the stabi link.

Still doesn't hurt to examine your mounts. My car has a loose motor mount bolt which I can't remove and if I'm off on a shift, I can hear it knock. Is it like metal on metal? A sound description may help a little.

Re: Knocking Sound when shifting

Wouldn't really say its metal on metal. I will try and get a video posted with the sound or something. I went for a drive yesterday and drove her pretty hard to see if it was the mounts I doubt it is I think it just might be the left side strut mount or strut assy. I did a check on the mounts and everything they seem fine. In the next day or two I will do a torque check on the mount bolts see if any of them are loose.
