Intermittent wiper not working

I have an '03 civic sport. My problem is with the wiper delay. The low and fast settings work fine with the wipers but when I set it to the intermittent setting the wipers just act as if I have the low speed setting on. Also when the wipers are turned off and I flip up on the lever to get rid of some rain drops on the windshield, the wipers will just go up and stop halfway coming back down the windshield.

Is it difficult to fix for an amature like myself?

Re: Intermittent wiper not working
Sport!? What country do you live in? Do you mean SE? Does it have a sunroof/moonroof?

With the ignition OFF: Remove the negative battery cable and wait AT LEAST 3 minutes before being work (don't want to blow the airbags). Remove the 3 Phillips head screws on the bottom of the steering column. Then pop the upper and lower pieces of the steering column cover apart (they're plastic). Look at the combination switch (the wiper lever). Disconnect the connector and remove the 2 Phillips head screws. Replace with number 11: http://www.hondapartscheap.com/south...t=0&quantity=0 Do everything in reverse, reset the presets on the radio and your done. Takes like 5-10 minutes once you wait the required 3 minutes (*at least).
