Rep Power: 0 P0138 -2nd Time -2003 4dr Civic EX
Hi everyone. I've got an 2003 civic with roughly 95K on it that I've only owned for 2 months so far. just a few weeks ago I came across with these OBD II codes:
P0138 -02 sensor high voltage, bank 1 - sensor 2
P1456 - emission evap control system leak detected
P1457 - emission evap control system leak detected
I got these codes from AutoZone, but took it to my local shop to diagnose it and they confirmed a faulty o2 sensor (post cat.)and they also found that my fuel pump retaining ring was loose and recommended my to replace my evap canister. I did all that, and 16 days later (today) my light came back on giving me the SAME EXACT trouble codes. I've read around and found that it could be the heater wiring in the sensor, but I just replaced it so I don't think that's it. Is it possible I have a electrical/wiring harness issue? I've been having other electrical problems with the car such as intermittent trunk light, faulty gauge readings, and occasionally the windows won't operate from the driver's side. Since purchase, I mainly use my car for interstate travel to work (bout 15 miles to an back) and I don't race it. I would just like some input or help before I decide to take it to Honda and pay them to tell me "what might be" wrong with it. I can give more specifics if someone can help me out.

make sure you use an oem quality sensor like bosch/ntk and that it is the proper version. using the wrong one may work for a week or two but will eventually trigger the cel again. evap system is hard to figure out, you could have a bad gas cap or variety of other parts bad like evap purge solenoid or a cut in the vapor lines.
