New o2 sensor and lagging acceleration!!??

Hey, so first i will let you know it is a rather inexpensive o2 sensor.. 40-50 dollar range (on line), so anywho i installed it last night and now today while driving to work when i punch it in 3/4/5th i get this kinda lag in my acceleration.. does this mean the o2 sensor is crap or could my computer need some time to adjust so i just need to drive it more.. ?? thanks!

I personally would not buy a cheap O2 sensor, specially for Honda. I have seen issues with them.

Denso or Bosch.

Re: New o2 sensor and lagging acceleration!!??

I just installed a Bosch exact fit upstream sensor in my car. It's much improved in both idle and overall. I'm very happy with it. It was about $60 bucks after tax. I had 136k on my old one, so that is probably why I noticed so much.

Second, the tip is very sensitive. If you somehow got it dirty, or greasy, or handled it too much you might have ruined it. It should come out of the package with a plastic cover. The cover is removed and straight into the exhaust it goes, as soon as it's exposed it starts to degrade.
