why cant i turn the a/c off while defoging?...

i just noticed the other day that when i turn on the defoger (or defroster, whatever you call it), the a/c turns on, but i can't turn the a/c off. i thought that was odd, cause i remember that the same thing happens in my dad's maxima, but i can turn the a// off if i wanted, and still have the defoger on. is this a problem, or just a honda trait (if its a trait, its dumb, dont you think?)

its the way honda programmed your defroster... reason being it helps defrost quicker by making the air in the car dryer.

There is a DIY that many have performed on this site which allows you to turn it off while you are using the defroster... but it will still turn on automatically when you activate defrost mode.

If you're a person like myself who doesnt like air blowing in their face, then you'll probably use the defroster 90% of the time so I was quick to disable this.

here is the DIY... takes all of 10 seconds and you're done!
