radio does not work. Radio code is correct?

I entered the radio code after I uninstalled the aftermarket radio. Now the radio does not have any sound at all. Is there anyway I can test my radio that it works, or does not work?

What does it show on the radio? Is it still asking for the code?

No, it's not asking for the code after I put the numbers into the system. It goes through stations like normal, cd tracks, time. Allows me to go through volume controls for the cd... There's no sound from anything at all- AM, FM, CD. There was sound coming out of the system before I took out the aftermarket system out.
