"Mile" stone...

2001 Civic EX:

Thought it was pretty epic to see her change over. Running great except after some starts, it will almost come to a complete stall when first trying to start moving.

Example: Start up car, let it warm up for a minute (it's 45*F here), pull out of my parking spot and it's almost like the car just wants to turn off. I'll push the gas pedal down and nothing, the engine stalls down to ~600 rpms clunks around there for a little bit, then will rev back to life after a few seconds...?? Any ideas?

I called in sick to work and didn't drive my civic for a couple days when she hit 100k km haha.

There's a DIY for the fuel filter replacement as well, at your mileage I would consider changing it. Are there any stored codes?

Re: "Mile" stone...

its a fuel strainer and it located inside the fuel tank on the pump. kinda a pain but there is a diy for that too. honda recommends replacing every 100k miles or when fuel pressure drops below spec. i would prolly check the fuel pressure first.

I checked O'Reilly's and AZ, both said it was a non-serviceable part that couldn't be ordered...

oh, prolly just dealer then. its serviceable, just takes a few hrs to change it since the whole back seat and fuel pump needs to come out.
