Starts but wont stay running

I have a 2001 honda civic with a SOHC VTEC, and it will start but wont run for more than a couple seconds before it stalls out, could it be that the catalic converter is plugged? The check engine light is not on either, any help would be great

Hi, did you find the cuase of your problem (will start but won't run for more than a few seconds)? I have the some problem with my 2006 civic.
