PLease help. electircal problem, alternator wont charge

Last week i hit a bump hard and two days battery dies on me and the engine light and battery light is on,so took it in was told it that the alternator was bad bought a new one and battery hooked them up and still no charge coming from the alternator and lights are still on. do you know whats causing this

Sounds like a loose wire or connector, loose ground wire, or insulation on a wire has rubbed through on something. Go down to Autozone and have them pull the code (that's why your engine light is on) and tell us what the code it is.
