Battery light on in idle

I have an 02 EX. It recently died, got the battery replaced just in case, then it died again. Took it to a shop and they replaced the connectors. Tested the alternator just in case but they told me it was fine.

Now, 3 weeks later, the battery light is going on every time the car is in neutral with no RPMs. If I leave it in neutral and gas it, the light goes off. On my way home, the SRS and ABS lights also went on and stayed on. Seems my lights are dimmer. Haven't tried to restart it yet.

Based on other posts, I'm worried it's the alternator. However, that seems strange since I just got it checked.

Ideas?

Re: Battery light on in idle

Something is wrong in the charging circuit, so it's not necessarily the alternator. Check the voltage regulator.

Yep, some reason it's not charging correctly

Check your grounds as well, and your Alternator-Battery fuse in ur fuse box

Re: Battery light on in idle

have you checked the charging voltage at idle at the battery? alot of times an alternator can test "good" meaning it produces amps, but it can only be producing 30 amps instead of 65amps and there is your problem. this weak alternator must be working at its best otherwise the car will not have enough power to function. get it tested again at a place you know can read the equipment and not just say its fine. is your engine light also on?
