Re: Interior question
There are DIYs on painting interior pieces, search for it and look and see if that's what you want to do. Or you could find someone (maybe on this site) who as a black interior and trade pieces. Or you can get the interior from the salvage yard. Countrywide salvage listings: http://www.car-part.com/
Re: Interior question
It is not a hard as it seems.
1. Disassemble everything take all the cloth off of everything. make sure everything you want black is off the car.
2. go to your need to go to your local drug store and get RIT powder dye (black) at least 3 or 4 packets probably 5 just to be safe. (the more dye, the darker)
3. boil enough water to fit all the cloth in it and have something to put it in like a giant rubbermaid container will work.
4. Poor all the water in then pour in the dye and stir it well.
5. Place all the cloth in the water and wait. and wait. and wait. the longer you have it in, the darker the color will be. (be especially cautious if you do not have tints. the colors will fade if not dyed dark enough and will look purple.)
5.1) If you want you can hose down the stuff you just dyed to get all the excess out and keep it from seeping into other things
6. Now its time for the vynol trims. if you want it to have the same like texture that they have now sand them down just enough to rough them up and get the paint to stick. if you want it to be a nice smooth finish sand until you cannot see any of the old texture style.
7. Once you're done sanding its time to start spray painting. put at least 3 coats on to make sure it covers everything and wont fade.
8. Now put everything back together and enjoy!!

Re: Interior question
lol, I don't like my tan interior either. Painting and dyeing would work.. I wanna try and find the OEM parts. The pieces I've painted show tan through when they get scratched. I also have black/blue racing seats up front..

Re: Interior question
Paint can look good if done right.
As far as the seats go, I'd get them re-upholstered rather than dyed. I need to find a good way to restore my Sparcos to look like new.. Without blacking out the white "Sparco" at the top of the seat.. I don't think Sparco makes the seats I have anymore, either..
