Unhappy shift **** issue

i have a 2001 civic dx and went and bought this really cool shift **** for it but realized that the new **** doesnt have anywhere for the sack like thing (the boot maybe?) to click into therefore i cant use this ****. anybody know a way to fix this problem or know anywhere i can get a decently priced **** that will click into the "sack"? thnks

do your "sack" have *****? ... (sorry, couldn't help myself... )
I just use that way, no linking to the boot...

Most aftermarket shift ***** do not connect to the shift boot.

so they make really nice ***** for us to buy to make our cars look nicer, but leave u with a sagging sack (boot) thats makes the car look dumb again?

are there any simple ways to connect them without taking the boot apart

honestly i don't know. mine is sagged and without ***** (sorry, couldn't help myself again! My answer is serious, though).
I keep my **** because it is heavier than the stock one and have a better shift feel.

i have been doing some research and have seen this part number several times 08999-BAK-100. its supposed to be some sort of adapter that clips onto the silver ring which sounds almost right. but does it also somehow clip into the new **** or does it hold the boot up somehow.... help is very appreciated, pics would also help alot thanks guys...
