How often do you replace spark plugs... Do you even have to and how do you replace them, I have a 2005 civic lx...I am just wondering when they should be replaced and if new ones will make the car better?

download the manual, it will show when you need to do what.

wonder what this would have anything to do with spark plug changes... Meaning i never got out of the subject of the thread, actually... check the links before anything else and see when you should change the plugs. Also, there are a lot more info in there, so unless it is not there, please don't ask here just because it's just convenient to you.

every 1-2 yrs for copper, 3 yrs for iridium, maybe 4-5 yrs tops if you use platinum for some reason.

Thanks for the help, i just starting reading about spark plugs today so I don't know about all the different kinds...how can i see what i have, and is it easy for a noob to replace them...i dont care how much i have to replace them but I want the best spark plugs, whatever kind that is and how much are they?

denso iridiums are prolly the best for electrical performance. there is a good diy around here for changing the plugs, not too hard at all since they are right in front on the top.

Yeah, what Gearbox said.
And Iridiums are great (either Denso or NGK), but don't bother with platinums.
The important thing after your purchase is gap - make sure to measure it!
