a new challenger/issue appears.. WTF

a new challenger/issue appears.. WTF

so as you already know.. 01 civic lx new auto trans... everythings been great uptil now.. not really an issue but a could be issue down the road.. today while driving my light that signifies the gear is in drive went out. It comes back when i put it in park reverse 2 3 N .... i know when it starts flashing its a trans issue.. being its a new trans there shouldnt be an issue... wondering if anyone else had this happen to them before and if its a precursor for more money/ pain.

You either blew a bulb in the gauge cluster or it's the transmission range switch on the tranny.
