Rep Power: 0 gas peddle vibration on 2K2 Civic LX
This is a great forum. Glad I found it!
I'm having trouble with my brand new Civic sedan LX auto.
The accelerator peddle vibrates while driving, giving me an unwanted foot massage.
My foot feels numb after freeway driving!
Had a Civic-owning friend drive my car and he too noticed this.
The dealer had told me that they do not see anything wrong with the car.
This does not seem "normal" to me.
This is my fourth Civic and the first problem I've had of this kind.
Also, I've noticed the fluctuating idle that others have mentioned (especially 2K1 owners)
The car shudders somewhat at idle in nuetral, but not so that there is any fear of stalling.
The dealer also stated that their tests could find nothing wrong.
I miss my old '99 LX more now...

Any suggestions?

Rep Power: 0 I have been through similar problems with the dealerships here. They just want to pass the buck they don't want to do their job. My only suggestion is call the American Honda customer care make sure it is documented. Call the zone manager, speak to the owner of the dealeship, the general manager, the service manager and anyone else that will document what you are saying. Then take the car in at least once a week until they fix it or you have a lemon under the lemon law of your state. That's my 2 cents.

Rep Power: 0 Thanks for the advice.
I am hoping another dealer close by will be able to diagnose and fix my problem.
Maybe if I had more info concerning any possible areas to look for they would be able to.
Seems if customers are more specific about their troubles (especially with a TSB) then the chances of a fix are greater.
Does anyone have any idea why the peddle would vibrate so much?

Anyway...my advice is just to have your dealer check it out. Even it is is not a problem, at least you have it documented. Best of luck...
