2004 - key wont turn

my key isnt turning in the ignition. Main key goes in no problem, but wont turn at all. I tried spare key, it went in tightly, turned the engine on, and so I tried my main key again. Now the spare wont work! Anyone have an idea? Could something be blocking the key from going in all the way or blocking it from turning? Help please!

Re: 2004 - key wont turn

Theres a module connected to the cylinder opposite the key. I took that off, and i can turn it to start my car, but the key still doesnt turn. I would drive it, but the damn steering wheel lock! Is there a way to disengage the lock?

Re: 2004 - key wont turn

You could try spaying some WD-40 into the ignition tumbler( the place were the key goes into) and wiggle it a bit, but your going to have to replace the tumbler. The steering wheel lock pin can't be removed, but you could forcefully turn the wheel and brake it. Not my fault if It f@#ks up your car though.
