Non-fouler question for secondary O2 sensor
Hey guys, question: I am about to put this on my 2nd O2 sensor, I know that the DIYs show that you use the 2 18mm defoulers with one of those being drilled through with a 1/2" drill bit. However, I have seen anti-foulers at the local auto parts store that are actually longer than those smaller ones which you need to use 2 of. The longer ones seem to be the same size of two combined smaller one. Can you just use one of those longer ones instead of having to drill through one of the smaller ones and combining it with the other smaller one?

Re: Non-fouler question for secondary O2 sensor
what the eff? wrong thread/attempted blatant threadjack by a n00b?
anyways, back on topic..
I think the point of the stacked non-fouler was to fit the O2 sensor completely, so if the one you found is longer, I don't see why it wouldn't work. Unless, of course, the O2 sensor didn't fit in it for some reason

Thanks man, I can't find a good image online but this one is pretty much what it looks like (granted, I don't think this is the 18mm one that I saw but it's all I could find. All of these come with a washer so I don't know if they will work):

Re: Non-fouler question for secondary O2 sensor
So....I was getting ready to put the non-fouler on this afternoon, when I got under the car to take off the sensor, I then realized that the jackass who put on my aftermarket cat must have stripped the connector or something. Why do I say this? The god damn O2 sensor has been welded to the F'ing cat.
I guess I am pretty much screwed unless anyone has a suggestion. This is bullshit.

WOOOOWWWWW.....
Spendy option: buy new sensor, get old one cut out and patch the hole, get someone to weld an O2 sensor bung on the exhaust, find person that installed your aftermarket cat and kick him in the *****/her in the cooter
Slightly cheaper option: buy new sensor, drill out old sensor, use (I think AEM makes it) AEM weld-less O2 sensor bung over existing hole, find person that installed your aftermarket cat and kick him in the *****/her in the cooter

I bought and was using an electric O2 simulator and it worked great. I sold it a while back and it still worked 3 years later. Great buy. You can find them all over on ebay and other places. You just wire it in......done...no light.

Re: Non-fouler question for secondary O2 sensor
All it does is send an ohmed signal back to the ECU telling it that everything is ok. The rear O2 sensor is just there to tell you your cat is going bad. Thats it.
I got rid of mine when I switched to Kpro and had the option to disable the rear O2 and the emmissions system all together. Man I love Kpro.
