AC repair or replacement?
AC repair or replacement?
Have 04 Civic VP. AC works until outdoor temp is in 90s. Then it takes 20-30 minutes to get cold. Took in to shop. The freon level was ok but they said compressor going out. $1200 to replace compressor, evaporator and valve, clean system and recharge. Called dealer and they said they will not clean system because you can't clean enough to keep from contaminating new parts. They will replace entire system for $2500. Has anyone ever replaced compressor and it worked?
