2002 Civic DX

I'm looking at getting a 2002 DX 4 door. It's low KM, only 94,000. The body looks to be in good shape.

Is there anything in particular I should be aware/weary of on this model?

if its auto trans, they are not the greatest quality.

It's an automatic.

Can you be more specific? I thought Civic's were known for quality and reliability?

earlier 01-03 civics had some pretty major auto trans defects, which eventually required a new trans or a rebuild because the car wouldnt drive anymore. if you take a chance, be sure to drive the car when its cold and pay attantion to how it shifts. if it revs up higher for a second before shifting when it should (mainly 2nd to 3rd gear shift), it means the clutches are worn and its ready to fail at any time.
