P1457/ TP Sensor
P1457/ TP Sensor
In early December I got my throttle body and TP sensor replaced because of a code that came off my check engine light. My TP sesnsor was actually the only faulty part but they told me in order to change that they had to change the whole thing. Now a little over a month the check engine light came on again this time with the error code P1457. I replaced the fuel cap and the light will not turn off. Could the the mechanics when replacing my throttle body made it have a leak in the EVAP emission control system? When I got the car back it was making a clicking noise that was not there before could that be related too? Please help I don't want to keep giving Honda all my $$

Re: P1457/ TP Sensor
its possible he damaged the purge control valve which is bolted to the throttle body (with green cap). i would look around the throttle body area and make sure all the hoses are okay and connected.
Re: P1457/ TP Sensor
Thank you for the advice
I went to the place I got it fixed and they check it out. Turns out the hose to the purge control valve was loose and they fixed it for free. Thanks for the suggestion, it definitely helped to kinda sound like I knew what I was talking about
