Has anyone used this magnetic in line trans filter? You can spice it into your trans cooler liner or your power steering line. Seems like a good idea as in our civics there is no external trans filter. Here is a link

i doubt that would work. first, you need a trans filter that is "oil filter canister style" because their addon seems to only work with that system. second, we have a magnetic drain plug that already pulls most of the metal out of the fluid. my first two fluid changes i noticed alot of metal on the plug, but after that there is hardly anything. its only during the initial breakin period that you have to worry about metal shavings. after 20k miles no more are produced. same goes for the engine oil. the magnetic plug i got for that pulled some particles the first time, but after that its completely clean.
