Problem with the power window.
Problem with the power window.
Hi, pals.
I am going to buy a 2001 Honda Civic Coupe EX, but yesterday while taking a look on it I saw something which confused me. The when I press the button for the left window to go down and then remove my finger on it, the window didn't stop, but just went complitely down. So in order to stop the window at the level I wanted, I had to press the button twice. Is that normal? I mean, on the other cars when you remove your finger from the button, the window stops sliding down immediately at the desired level. No with that car. How is the situation with your civics? Thanks.

Lube the moving, sliding and pivot portions of the regulator. If there is a cable apply lube to it as well. Use white lithium grease.
The 6th gens have a different style regulator than the 7ths.

there are two stops on the auto button. if you press it gently it will work like normal. if you press it down hard, it will roll down all the way.

Re: Problem with the power window.
and if the window is moving by itself, you may have a problem with the switch. usually opening it up for cleaning and realigning the mechanism should fix it.
