my current cat has a pretty good sized leak and it might b causing other issues so im plannin on buying a replacement cat. ive looked at majestichonda and the cats are pretty damn expensive and havent really found a good condition cat on the selling section of the forum.

so ive turned to ebay and ran across 2 decent looking cats for a good cost but not completely sure if they are good. heres the 2 ive found:

wat do u guys think? think i should get one of those(if so, which?), wait for a good used oem cat to come around the sale section, or dish out the dough for a oem honda one?

the stock one usually is pretty reliable. if you have welder friends, have them fix your stock one. you could even try that muffler mend putty but not if the cat itself is cracked. it will get too hot. otherwise try the ebay one, im sure its pretty good. no way would i spend that much for oem one.

yea i dont have any welder friends around here. its pretty much leaking right before the flange that connects to the mid pipe and its a fairly sizeable leak.

which of the 2 ebay ones do u think would b better? i do like the first one due to having the rear hardware and gasket but the 2nd one looks a whole lot better.

yeah second one looks better. have you tried the muffler putty and tape? might work if the leak is on the pipe.

no i havent but ill give it a try since its a cheaper option. not sure if the tape will work since the hole is right at the flange but ill just get it in case it does.
