Headlight problems

When I start my 02 civic the drl light comes on along with a buzzing sound from behind the dash. When I turn the lights on the drl light goes of and the buzzing silences. However the headlights do not come on when they are turned on. Have changed the bulbs and verified that there is power to the connection to the bulb. Anybody have any ideas

Re: Headlight problems

Are you missing both high and low beams when the headlights are turned on ??

01s and some 02s had a recall for missing low beams.

The buzzing can be fixed by doing some basic soldering of the DRL control module... It may or may not cure the headlight problem.

Re: Headlight problems

yeah open up the module located near the hood release behind the plastic panel. resolder all the connections and it should fix the drl.

Re: Headlight problems

you might have the recall issue then where a wire in the oem switch burnt and is not allowing headlight to turn on (both sides). have you checked all the fuse and relays?
