Intake manifold?

Intake manifold?
Can someone tell me what the symptoms of a leaking intake manifold gasket would be?
My car makes a sound that sounds like air sucking that goes along with acceleration, almost sounds like a supercharger or something, but not as loud. I do have a short ram intake on there now, but I could hear it before I put that on. There is a big crack in my exhaust manifold, so I thought that may be what's causing it. It also seems to lose a lot of power when it's hot and humid out. I'm going to be replacing the manifold with a race header and new exhaust, so hopefully that will take care of it, but I wanted to know what to look for on my intake also.
