To anyone who can help me out!!!

When I accelerate the RPM needle goes up and down, and my car wont move forward. I need to step on the gas hard in order to fix the problem. So I bring it to a mechanic and they said that I needed to change of transmission fluid. So I change it and the problem goes away for a few days. Yesterday, I pulled out of my driveway and the problem surfaced again. It seems like my tranny is slipping, and I can feel my engine shacking. So I park the car and pop the hood to see what’s going on. After checking all the fluids, I close the hood and start up the car again. The car now drives perfect! Today I drove 10 minutes to my local Home Depot to pick up some supplies, when I come back the car started to have the same problems again. It WON’T accelerate , I can feel the car raving but the car wont move forward. I stop to see what’s the problem now, and as I pop the hood, my engine feels HOT as Hell. So I ask myself, could it be a overheating problem? Or a tranny gone bad? I cant seem to find the problem. The cars also goes back to normal after parking the car for 5 minutes and starting it up again.

If anyone had a similar problem or know what’s wrong, please HELP…

I SORT of have a similar problem, but not really..? Either way, my transmission slips from 2nd-3rd gear. but after it makes the transition then its fine and will accelerate, but it only does it in that gear. It has been recommended to me as well to change the fluid so that is what i'm going to try. Some other advice I have gotten was to take it to a dealer and see if the TCM program needs to be updated or some **** to that extent? Idk, Goodluck though!

LIMP mode maybe. try to see if u can pull codes

Sounds like your first gear is not engaging!!! Which would be a tranny problem. Sorry that's about all I can offer lol. I think LIMP mode you can still get the car going but you cant go over 2500 rpms.

Thanks for the reply, but i took the car to my mechanic today, and it happens to be the throttle body. They had to take it apart and clean it, but it stillls keeps stalling once in awhile and fixes itself after. Now they tell me i need to replace the whole throttle body? And the dealership quoted me about 800$ mind as well get another opinion or get a used or aftermarket throttle body.

and advise or suggestionssss???
