Check underneath the car, there are these round thingies on the bottom of the floor. They were originally holes where hooks went through the body in the factory that were plugged and then just had body sealer put over them. Sometimes those little buggers can come loose and water will leak in from underneath when it rains.

Re: Wet Drivers Side Floor

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but has anyone figured out a solution to this problem yet? I have the same leakage, except on the passenger side. All the windows are sealed, and the rubber weather strips on my doors are fine, but whenever a heavy rain rolls around my passenger side carpeting becomes soaked like a sponge. Nothing else is wet, not even the doorsills... just the carpet, which makes me think there might be a hole in the bottom of the car.

Has anyone got a good fix?

check your window moldings, the black strips that go around the front window. they pop out and sometimes water can leak thru the clip holes and trickle down the frame into the car without you ever seeing the water. you can put some black rubber sealer in the holes and around the clips before reinstalling and should fix it.

Check that the black plastic plug inside the wheelwell is still in place and has a tight seal.
