MY05 Civic Coupe Flasher Replacement

Hi All

First post here but I'm an active member on S2KI and hope you guys won't mind helping a Honda brother out. I'm at work and trying to help a coworker replace the flasher in her '05... we've got the part but don't really have any tools here. Shouldn't need them for this quick replacement. I just can't seem to get the old one out-- it is like -8349028 degrees here in Wisconsin and the fingers don't work too well when they're frozen solid.

Is there a trick to it (clip on the back or something) or is it just a finesse thing?

Thanks for your help

It looks like a clip is coming up the side and may hold the top edge/corner, the clip should just move side-ways and release hold. The connectors may hold it tight as well

Re: MY05 Civic Coupe Flasher Replacement

Thanks for the prompt replies. I did see that clip on the side (in between the flasher and the small fuse tray on the fuse board, yes?) but remember there being a little bump on another side of the housing and didn't know if that needed attention.

And no, it certainly hasn't pulled right out! Maybe I'm just a sissy...

Thanks again

Re: MY05 Civic Coupe Flasher Replacement

Did you know the box will drop down if you take out the bolt at the bottom ??

IIRC I tried to remove mine once and it was tight (left it alone)

Yep, got the box dropped down but not too far as the wiring to some of the harnesses at the top of the box is extraordinarily tight. Precision manufacturing for sure.
