I have a 2001 EX coupe that is entirely stock. The issue I have is that when I am driving about 30-45 mph, and holding my speed relatively constant, The car will shudder for just a second or two. If I let off the accelerator or push it a bit more, it will stop immediately.

As long as I drive like everyone else on the road, it is fine but, when I am gentle with the car, it does it 2-3 times a day but, only under warm conditions. If it is below 60 degrees, the car never does this. The car also seems to idle just fine.

Someone suggested changing my spark plugs so, I did and the problem seems to have decreased in severity but, is still just as frequent.

I have also heard that I should clean out the throttle body, check the TPS and the EGR valve.

Any ideas?

I should also add that the CEL is not on and I am not seeing any codes with my scantool

I am having this exact same problem with my (wifes) 2004 Civic we bought it new. It seemed to start around 60K miles.. I changed the plugs, ran a couple of tanks of 93 octane and it seemed to get better but would still do it once in a while. The car has 110K and i am going to change the plugs again because it is real bad now. I plan on checking the EGR valve too. Will let you know how I make out.
