Where is the air filter in our cars?

Ok there are two black boxes. One with screws and one without screws. Which one of them hides the air filter? I tried to unscrew the the first box but its so tight that it broke my screwdriver. Any idea how to access the air filter?

look in your Civic Owner Manual...

it is clearly indicated where to find the filter and how to replace it. (p. 225 in my French Civic 2001 manual... so should be close to yours ! ) )

see ya

under your hood their are two black plastic boxes
the biggest one which is the one on the left is the resignator
the one that sits above your engine, the smaller of the two, is your filter box
the filter is there as soon as you pull off the cap
