Hi, I have 2003 civic and while I was working my car got hit. When I first drove up I parked in the only available space, behind a hummer that was parked in a red zone being washed. I left plenty of space for him to back up but there was no one parked in front of him so he could have just pulled up.
I went to the house to see if I could find the owner and a lady came out saying that he's not here, and maybe the guys washing it were responsible I don't know was her answer.
Anyway I know it was the guy who owned the hummer because he was the only one parked there and as you can see from the pictures the dent is not on the bumper but in the hood.

She gave me the guys number, but he's going to deny it anyway.

So my question is should I get it fixed? I have a 500 dollar deductible. I hate this car and I was planning on selling it pretty soon, so is it worth the trouble to fix it?

have you tried a plunger? i'm sure that would work. try it or that "pops-a-dent" thing.... don't pay 500 to get that fixed... even if you have to pay to get it fixed don't report it to ur insurance. that would make it be on your carfax report i gave you a couple of good solutions, plus if you reported it to ur insurance that would not only cost you the deductable... but it would also make your rates go up.

try and fix, if not im sure you could find a new hood from someone local or junkyard or even ebay for way less than $500.

yeah thats just a small dent. can be easily popped out with a plunger or that "as seen on tv" stuff you get at pepboys or local auto store. thats not worth 500 at all. see what you can do yourself before you go to insurance because theres no damage done to the paint.
