7th Gen Trunk Problems...
Anyone else have problems with their trunk opening at random *** times? Mainly when hitting bumps, potholes, or just out of random?
Yeah, well mine does and its driving me ****ing insane!

um, faulty trunk latch for sure. prolly have to replace it, see if you can go inside the trunk when its closed and try to push it open. if you can, latch mechanism is bad. or better yet, get the 2001 accord power latch popper and hook it to aftermarket alarm if you have one.

if you still have warranty they should replace it. but try lowering the trunk a bit by adjusting the rubber stoppers on the lid.

Wow, Honda wants 76 bucks for this latch.
Its not the striker plate, its the plastic piece on the "latch". It's bent, and the damn thing wont stay closed with a ****.
I've searched Handa Accessories, and other OEM honda sites, and have yet to find one. Paypal to the one who helps me find one cheaper than 76 bucks.
