New rack and pinion whoa!!!!

I hope I am placing this in the right place. So moderators if you move me. I understand.

For those of you that know me my car used to be my ex's and she did not take the best care of it. But due to several issues beyond my control. I am stuck with it. ( And am starting to love it as much as the car I lost)

Anyway when I got the car it had a rack and pinion leak at the firewall. The warranty had been expired for a month. So as to the advice of my mechanic I kept it full and kept driving it.

It really was not that bad in a year and a half I went through a bottle and a half of fluid. It wasn't till I put in the new D-SPEC struts and then a few weeks later the new front brake system. It really started to leak. (I have a thing about my cars and leaving puddles) I think it was all the back pressure on the system when I did all the work. ( You know wheels cranked over with the engine off)

So I took it to my mechanic and said I think it was time we do something about this. He gave me a quote and I checked around (yes its my family shop and I get parts at cost but labor I still pay full price for.) No one came close to There price, so I was like lets get this done. It only took them a few hours. ( I have had tires and alignments at sears take longer) Plus my uncle did a few things for free.) It came or to $680 for parts and labor, not bad considering Majestic wanted $600 just for the part.

So I pick it up and start driving it and was like WOW!!!
I had no idea how bad my steering was before. THe steering is so tight now, and I really notice all the suspension mods. ( Need to adjust the damping on the D-SPEC's they are too firm now.) I am really impressed is what I am saying. I thought this was going to be lets spend some money and feel no results but it needs to get done. Now I am like that was money well spent. The car hugs the road now it almost feels like all I have to do is think the direction and it will drive it.

Just thought I would tell everyone
