when driving my cooling system gets over pressurized. the Rad cap is a new Honda OEM . i used a exhaust gas analyzer to see if there is Hydra carbons coming out of the coolant to see if there is a blown head gasket nothing came up there. the system is not leaking its holding all the pressure. i have heat inside the cabin. the radiator keeps pushing coolant to the over flow tank and the cooling system is not overfilled. my temp. gauge stays at normal temp. i check even with my scan tool and the idling temp. is 209F.soo its not over heating. if you have any suggestions let me know.
why the new oem cap? was the old one bad or did you just swap it out hoping that would fix it? Did you just fill the rad.? Does it push coolant to the overfill until empty or does it stop at a certain level?
did you give Honda your VIN# and see if its a recall issue?
yea i replaced the cap to see if it would fix it because our cap pressure tester was broken. and i checked there is no recall. i work for a honda dealership in indianapolis.
not to be a complete *******.....lol

my idle temp is 190 and stays there once warmed up no matter how hard i am on it.
i say u got air in it. try bleading it that could also explain why it's a tad hotter than "normal"
