Timing Belt maintenance
Re: Timing Belt maintenance
Check my Timing Belt DIY - link on the sig.
The parts kit looks fine as far as what you'd need, but I usually just buy from majestic honda to get OEM parts. I can't speak for the reliability of aftermarket parts, but others have used them.
You'll need a coolant drain plug washer and coolant if they will be doing a coolant flush (which they should).

Re: Timing Belt maintenance
I think the recommended mileage in the owner's manual is around 110k. I have about 85K and plan on doing it pretty soon. I don't like waiting that long. I'll do it this fall, or maybe next spring.
Re: Timing Belt maintenance
I did mine at 104k. The thing that wears on the belt more than most things is extreme variations in temperature, moisture and extreme heat. If you live in the desert or make transits from dry, hot places to moist places (like a vegas to socal run), you might want to do the change earlier, but honestly I think 110K is a number that was arrived at with a decent safety margin already built into it.
Oil, coolant, or grime on the belt will also shorten the belt life, so if you've ever had a seeping valvecover or water pump, you might do the TB earlier. Again, I think that honda gives that 110K miles rating with a good margin of safety already built in.
Re: Timing Belt maintenance
standard service - 110k miles
extreme service(hard driving, hot to cold, stop and go, etc..) - 90k miles
use honda parts, from a dealer, period
u will need: timing belt, valve cover gasket, 1 gallon of coolant, water pump, tensioner(not necessary, your choice) crank pulley holder tool.
good luck, and search for diy, its not very hard, just time consuming

Thanks green for looking up the service specs, it's 109 in SoCal today and i didn't feel like doing anything except going to the pool.
