Clunking/knocking noise
Clunking/knocking noise
Hello fellas,
Here's the problem with my car, been tracing down for awhile, but no clues yet so i really need advices from you guys. When the car off, parked i was trying to wiggle the steering wheel, it makes a clunk/knocking noise. The vehicle wander from side to side, more likely at high speed. I traced down and it sound like the noise came from the steering rack, so i replaced the rack, also put in everything new inner, and outter tie-rod, lower ball-joints, all the LCA bushing, stabilizer-link and a whole new set of Tokico Blues w/ stock springs while at it. The noise kinda went away for a few months, but all the sudden i started to hear it again, and the vehicle feels the same like before i replaced those things. This is driving me nuts, i mean how long are these thing built to last, just a couple months then they failed again???
The noise seem to came from the same place as before, which is somewhere in the steering rack between the inner tie-rods, so anyone can shine some light for me PLEASE?
Thanks
Oh by the way, i got a wheel balance, and re-alignment after replaced those.
PS: My vehicle: 2003 Honda Civic LX SOHC 1.7 Sedan
