a trick with the cooling system with that bolt next to the oil filter, we have a trick is doing that one so you don't get too horibbly soaked, but if you have an old beach towel, wad it up and hold it against that plug while you take it out, then slide out from under the car as quick as possible. The towel will asorb most the fluid before splashing on you.
and for the crankshaft nut, just a tip, i have an ir2135 titanium impact gun i use for work. get one of those, it can break it free with over 1k ft/lbs of force lol
