My automatic tranny acts up when it rains. It makes a *LOUD* garggling noise and the entire centre console shakes. I've taken it to the dealership for inspection, but they always tell me there is nothing wrong.

Lately, also, I've noticed the downshifts are rougher. It is EXTREMELY rougher from stop & go situtations. Of course, dealership says they can't tell the difference.

So far I've been to three different dealerships to resolve the issue, and they all say there is nothing wrong. But I know there is something wrong, since I recently rented another Civic, and the tranny on that was much smoother.

Anything I can do?

record/video tape the problem if possible so they cant pretend it doesnt exist. if the noise is that loud, that part should be pretty easy to record

i totally know wut u mean...it happens to me a lot...but the sound only comes if it rains...the sound makes it seem like the engine is goin to fail or something

i remember a time when it rained real hard and every once in awhile while driving i would hear a loud noisy roar or something , but i have mudflaps and i think that it was just lots of water hitting them... don't know if this could be the problem u guys are having or not, just wanted to add my 2 cents
