ok i am new the honda, i recently got a 2001 honda civic. the lady i recieved it from said that it had a bad tranny problem so i figured i could fix it at first i though it was a clutch, but then come to find out it is a new clutch. so here are the symtoms when you start the car it is ok but then when you go to put it in gear and release the clutch the car goes no where, and make a slight grinding noise like the clutch is lightly rubbing. i took the trany out and could not find anything. everything seems fine the clutch was in correctly the fork loked ok and the tranny feels good (by manually shifting it) th lady said the one day she was driving i and it through it self out of gear and never went into gear again, now it goes in to gear but goes nowhere it makes that scratching noise in everygear and still goes nowhere in every gear. hopefully someone has the answer PLEASE HELP A NEWBY OUT!!

my guess, input shaft bearing, but thats just a guess, ur gonna have to pull it... and dissassemble

ive already got the tranny out just waiting for the rain to stop to go furher with it and wanted to get some input. thnks for the suggestion i will have a look.
