Cruise Control..HELP!! >>>

Ok so heres the deal, I know everyone is gonna think im an idot, but I changed my 2001 Civic EX 2dr coupe from an auto trans to a 5-speed trans. Im running a 5-speed ECU with the orginal automatic wiring harness. It passes smog and I have been driving it this way a little over two years.
I have not had the need for curse control because hardly ever take any long road trips. But now after all this time I just realized the curse control does not work at all... the green cruse control light does not even come on when I the the Cruse control botton. Id like to get it back in to working order.

Do I need to get a 5-speed wiring harness? or mabey bypass an existing plug on the auto wiring harness?

Any insight or help would be great!

Thanks again everyone

Re: Cruse Control..HELP!! >>>

first, might i inquire at to how much that ran you? i want a manual and love my car buts its an auto...

maybe the cruise switch was simply disconnected and that is why the light does not come on. i would think the light would at least come on, just nothing would work if the other case was true, but i could be wrong and its more than likely that i am.

you probably tried this but pop the panel off where the cruise button is and check it out

On your clutch pedal you should have 2 sensor plugs. The top one is for the starter cut relay and the bottom is for the cruise control. Now for the cruise control you need to run wires to connect it to the cruise control box. The sensor on the pedal should have two prongs. One wire should be attached and grounded the other should be tapped into the cruise control box. When I get home tonight I'll look at what wire color I tapped into. Or if you have the downloaded manual for our cars you can find the wire color under the wiring diagrams for the cruise control.

Yeah and make sure that you're hitting the button on the steering wheel. The button down by the storage and fog light switch, etc on the left will not engage the light on the display.
