ok first i jus got back from iraq after 14 months havent seen my car till now. my mom has had the car the whole time ive been away. now for the problems,
1: when i try to lock/unlock the doors from the **** on the door handle nothing happens

2: when i lock the doors with the remote i dont hear the beep anymore

my mom says that it just started doin that a week ago any1 know what is wrong and what i can do thanx

p.s. i have an 03 ex

I had the problem that I couldnt unlock/lock the doors from the inside. I had to pop the drivers door panel off and re attach the metal rod to the door lock button/handle. But your issue is a little differnt. You can open your door, but it wont lock from the inside? Will it lock from the outside with the key? Pop the door panel off and take a look. Its pretty damn simple behind there. It could be an alarm wiring issue, but I dont think so- but if it is, your on your own kuz I dont have an alarm on mine.

is it just one door or all the doors that wont unlock? will ti unlock with the keyless entry? this will narrow it down to the problem

its probably neither, i had this problem, it is most likely the door lock actuator, is like 25 bucks from honda, this is very very very common on our cars, its not terrible to replace, but not what id call fun

i was thinknig door lock actuator. if it was one door then its the actuator, if its both doors then a switch/electrical problem

its both doors, the remote locks them but i no longer hear the "beep" and from the inside neither will lock from the locking mechanism on the door
