When I press the brake pedal in park, at the exact same time the lights come on there is a "click" sound I hear, and that you can feel as well coming from somewhere under the shifter/console. It only does it when the tranny is in PARK. It just started doing this yesterday. it does it every time u press the brake pedal (when in PARK). Everything seems to be working ok. It almost sounds like some sorta relay or solenoid. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks,Jeff

Shifter release switch. It's so that you can't put it into any gear without stepping on the brakes.

^ yeah, or maybe your hearing is good enough to hear the brake lights click on. Dont worry man, its fine and its always been doing it, you just started noticing it yesterday.

Shifter release solenoid. Mine pissed me off so I bypassed it by cutting a scrap of wood to fit under the access cover. When I first learned to drive (about 140 years ago, ha ha) there were no safety interlocks.
