Question about honda part number. help plz

Hello everyone. Im new to the forums. Anyway, i drive a '03 honda civic and i recently got a check engine light for the TPS *throttle/pedal position low input*. I'm looking to replace the throttle body and just wanted some assurance that the part i'm ordering is in the correct one needed to fix the problem. http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...Y&vinsrch=null

370468 002 1 BODY ASSY., THROTTLE (GY79A)

is that the correct part? thanks for any input.

Re: Question about honda part number. help plz

because the tps is not sold separately and very hard to change/adjust to spec. if i were you, i would pick up a $50 used TB from ebay. worked wonders when i had the same problem. just clean it up a bit before installing. alot better than being raped by the dealer as im sure new ones go for a few hundred dollars. all throttle bodies are the same for 01-05 civic EXCEPT for auto vs manual trans. be sure you buy one for the correct transmission type or you will not like what happens.

Have you or the dealer gone through the troubleshooting process for the sensor to verify that its actually the sensor and not a broken wire or something?

If you don't have it already, download the shop manual. The troubleshoot for the TPS is in section 11-65. The link below should be page 4 of the original thread...scroll down to the download.

Good Luck!
