Auto to Manual done. Car wont start. Need help.
So we just got done doing all the mechanical portions of this. Everything is in and ready to go. Heres the problem:
-We are running an auto ECU and the auto dash harness, but we are running the manual engine harness. Wehn we go to crank the motor, nothing happens. We pulled the silenoid off from under the steering wheel so we can get the key out, but the car wont crank.
I know there is a wire that we need to ground to make the ECU think that the transmission is in park or neutral, but where is that wire? We need help. asap! Thanks in advance.

really, i think u need a manual ecu, i dont think the auto ecu wont work, but i could be wrong, but then again, why would they make the ecu's different?

No...the auto ECU will work. Right now the computer thinks that the car is in drive. So we need to find that wire, and ground it so the computer wont think that and we can crank it over. Its just a pain in the *** finding that wire. I know someone on here HAS to have done this before.

Well we have the actual honda service manual, and thats not helping out at all. Were going to give it one more shot today and see what we can come up with.

No need! haha. We got that bitch running like a champ today. We just ended up leaving the auto harness in there and moved the control unit for the gear selector out of the way. thanks to varner88 for the tip!

alrite finished we ended up using the auto harness with the shifter position sensor still plugged in. Once we did that it fired right up
